‘Lee Seung-jun 28 points’ Hyundai Capital ends 2-game losing streak with first win…finishes 3rd in group in cup tournament

Hyundai Capital defeated KEPCO to claim a rare victory at the 2023 Gumi Dodram Professional Volleyball Organization (KOVO).

Hyundai Capital defeated KEPCO 3-1 (25-20 18-25 25-22 25-22) in the final match of Group B of the tournament at Park Jung-hee Gymnasium in Gumi, Gyeongbuk, on Nov. 11.

Hyundai Capital, which had already lost two straight matches to miss the semifinals, finished the tournament in third place in Group A with a 1-2 record.

Hyundai Capital was led on offense by Lee Seung-jun with 28 points, followed by Kim Sun-ho with 13 points.

KEPCO, on the other hand, ended the tournament without a win after losing all three games.

Lee Tae-ho led the way with 31 points, but the team lacked options to back him up.

Hyundai Capital widened the gap early in the first set. Kills by Lee Seung-jun and Kim Sun-ho, combined with an opponent error, led to back-to-back points and a 12-7 lead. At one point, the lead reached seven points, and Hyundai Capital won the first set 25-20.
