The Doosan Bears used a two-hitter to snap the KT Wiz’s eight-game winning streak and secure the win.
Doosan won the 11th game of the season against KT 7-4 on Friday at Jamsil Stadium in Seoul. With the win, Doosan snapped KT’s eight-game winning streak and moved back into third place in the standings. It also evened the season series with KT at 5-5.
The game was highlighted by a strong performance from starting pitcher Brandon Waddell and a focused offense that scored early runs. Brandon pitched a complete game, giving up four runs on seven hits with eight strikeouts and one walk to earn the win.
The bats came out swinging early, chasing off opposing starter Wes Benjamin. Doosan batters scored four runs in the first and second innings alone, and in the bottom of the fifth, Yang Seok-hwan hit a two-run home run to set the tone for the game.
